Description

i have posted this rose for a lady that always makes me smile .everyday my first look on rr is on her homepage to see what gem she has posted and to read her take on life .pj (mrs lubner )this is for you ,its nowhere close to the excellent rose pics you post but it is just a way of saying thank you for making me smile :o).. this rose is a climber called masquerade ,it grows at the bottom of my garden on the fence .it has been there 27 years planted not long after we moved in . sadly yesterday we were told our moving date for the regeneration programme will be very early next year .the house we call our home will be flattened along with all the memories we have of our 2 boys and grandkids growing up .i m hoping this rose along with a few others will survive the dig up and move and be as happy in the new place as they were in this home ,in so much as i do aswell moving from familular happy surroundings into pastures new . thank you as always for your kind comments and friendship and have a great weekend :o) mick

Sorry to hear that you have to move Mick, I know what its like. How far away are you going? Hope its not too far and that some of you're friends are moving to the same area. I have said for many years now the only way I will be leaving this one is in a wooden box, or maybe a cardboard one, I believe they can make them out of card now. Excellent capture of this beautiful rose Mick, I too hope it will survive the transplant, most are very hardy but it does depend on the time of year when the transplant takes place. A beautiful dedication to a wonderful lady as well. I always enjoy PJ's narrative's as well, she tells it like it is. Bravo!!!!!

It looks similar to a Double Delight..very pretty rose, hope she survives for you. How sad you have to leave your home full of precious memories, but home is where to heart is dont forget and from what I have seen from your photo's of your love for your family, home can be anywhere you make it!

Beautiful image! I am sorry to hear you are moving and rather unwillingly. However, the memories you can take with you along with the people that are so important to you, and that is what counts. ;o) May you have many more cherished times in your new place, and the people you love around you filling up the spaces.

Nice Rose Mick and dedi to Mrs Lubner, (she brings a smile to me too with her great comments) Sorry too, to hear your being pushed out of your dear home. If It was me Mick, I'd get as many photo's of the whole street or area as possible and some of the people if you could, when its gone its gone. Good luck !

Mick, this is so touching and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. I think it is an amazing capture with a great pov. The detail is so good I feel like it is right here in my hand. I know this will survive the move. I've moved many and roses are so very strong. I think its great you will take it with you and not leave it to the dozers. I'm also sad you are losing your home of many memories but just think...a whole new place to begin collecting few ones.
