Description

I became the Dragonfly whisperer over the summer. I could mermerize them with my voice and camera lens... lol. This one let me get right up on him. The lens of my camera was practically touching it. I only took about 100 shots, since I had such wonderful cooperation. This one was one of my entries to the genre challenge in October. I am finally getting around to putting it in my gallery. I think it is my favorite shot. I believe full-size is worth a look here. Thanks so much for stopping by my gallery, commenting and viewing on my previous upload, "Corn Flower" . Are you kidding? How did you get so close to that glorious insect for such a magnificent macro? I know, you used an electron microscope! This is just too marvelous, too marvelous for words. Other than the POV, and colors and clarity of the dragonfly, I love the texture of the wings and those great big beautiful eyes!

This is a gorgeous image...I love the fact that you can see so much detail, including small veins and things like that, even eye-facets if you look carefully enough. FANTASTIC work, and a brilliant presentation. I happen to love dragonflies, among other things too...especially since they can't walk on a horizontal surface, they can ONLY climb. That's just weird, and has nothing to do with your image, but it's a funny fact.

You ain't kidding with that title are you. Fantastic macro, you can see the fine hairs on the back, that section of wing thats in focus is absolutely superb. Excellent work and presentation, so glad you decided to share, a fav for me. Bravo!!!!!
