This may not be the best photo I have ever taken but I wanted to post it because what you are looking at is 3 sections from Saddam Husseins Supergun. The long one at the front and 2 other sections behind. This was not all of it there would have been 6 more section!.
Thank you for looking, as always any comments or suggestions welcome 8~)

A gun that big is obviously OVERcompensation for something, but I'm keeping my mouth shut on that topic. It IS a great photo though, the railing/gate obscures much of the gun, but you have managed to capture something of interest to the contemporary world! Great work!

Interesting shoot.. even if the Saddam's mass destruction- weapons have never been found... and the result of the war in Iraq seems not to be a positive one...

Regardless of the subject matter, this is an awesome photograph! The composition and light give this a nice abstract feel. Love it!

I remember something about this in the papers at the time, I believe it was in a consignment of farming equipment or something along those lines. Made by a British company if memory serves me correctly. Never got to the assembled phase so we don't know if it worked or not. Excellent cover of this 'Big Gun'. Bravo!!!!!

It could have worked..or taken a lot of gunnery soldiers with it in failure. Thanks for the pic.

Simple idea, the supergun was developed from the German V3 project of WW2. The launch tunnels for the V3 can now be viewed in France, the target was london. Tricky subjet but worth recording.
