Description

Also known as caladium/colocasia esculentum. Captured within the last two years in the early morning, within walking distance of my dwelling. I wouldn't swear that this is a genuine elephant ear plant, but if it isn't, it's a terrific imitation. In any event, the leaves are huge and appear in fine fettle. Don't bother with a full size view, the shot above is the biggest you'll get. Thanks again for the visit, and have an especially propitious hump day.

What a shot, Harry, I never managed to grow any that large here! Agree with Jock, the flowers really gives the scale of these enormous leaves!

Wow! Those really are huge. Amazing! I love the composition - the veins in those leaves make for a nice, strong diagonal. I also like the secondary ribs in the leaves alongside the blinds in the window. Nice elements, well seen, and well shot! :)
