Description
Captured within the last two years, in the early morning, within walking distance of my residence.
Since you all enjoyed yesterday's posting of the cycad cone, here's a shot of a coneless umbrella version of a similar tree of that species.

My sister has these in her yard in Huntington Beach, but I had no idea they would send out such an amazing bloom!! They are really exotic.

There are some of these on the Thomas Edison museum grounds in Fort Meyer. That is where I learned about them.
