I'm a big fan of texture work, particularly rust and decay. I don't know whether its the compression, but this shot looks a little blurry-- a tripod is a must for any macro photography, and a cable release. Mirror lockup too . . . a really steady base matters. Or it may be the compression. These kinds of high frequency textures compress badly with JPEG

I like this a lot Sue, I don't know what you see here but I see a Kangaroo, he has is front paws up ready for boxing. It's alright, I all ready know I'm crazy, but I do see things in textures, faces, animals, allsorts of stuff. At first I thought somebody had used a branding iron on a tree, then the kangaroo just jumped out at me. Excellent capture, it just has to be a fav for me. Bravo!!!!!

Well, I don't know Sue, maybe it's my monitor, or my eyes, but this shot look quite clear to and crisp to me. I love this texture shot! Makes me think of dried out old bark, or metal rusted really to the point of crumbling. This is awesome.
