Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

There is no active lava in this tube. No one wanted to go inside without a safety rope which we left back in the truck.... Aloha

Great shot! Not too many people see a volcano lava tube. Must have been where the earth had to burp to the surface. :) Excellent POV

Thinking about the last picture and this one, I believe it is the birth place of Godzilla! Probably a meteorite, actually a Godzilla egg crashed into this lava flow. Because it would take the extreme heat of lava to make the Godzilla hatch! Yep, that's it!... lol... ;) Todd

Terrific capture, taken from a safe distance, of the hole that leads to who knows where....possibly to the center of the earth.
