Location: Staffordshire, England. Â
DOB : 10th June - you don't think I'm telling you which year do you ???
Oh, I will say that I'm female - I get so many emails addressed 'Dear Sir' it drives me nuts!!!
A little bit about me......
I used to paint on canvas in oils an acrylics many years ago so when I took up digital art it all seemed very different. Think I'm just getting the hang of it by now ;-)
I love animals, hate animal cruelty.  Love poking around in old ruined abbeys and castles - fortunately, there's a profusion of both where I live. Love the countryside, hate towns and cities. AND I HATE FOOTBALL!!!! (Sorry for shouting the last bit)

Striking portrait!! It is interesting what can turn up in a family tree. My Daughter is doing the same for our family. So apart from being related to a lot of blacksmiths she found out we are related to a first class cricketer who was also an alcoholic! On his day he was one of the best bowlers around but on match days he had to be escorted to make sure he stayed sober!!!

I have a niece while in the military she got to use their computers to trace our family tree. It is 8 feet long by 5 feet wide .Dates back over 250 years of our family. It is cool to see who was in your family. But then some you dont want to know like my wife is related to Ma Barker and the Barker Boys LOL. That is a cool image Gill. Looking forward to see more and hear more about your family. Hope you have a wonderful christmas my friend

If the name has a von in it, it is definately German. There is in Germany something that is called: Adels-Register. Have a look in it. May be you have luck and find him there. The titel Count would be in German a Graf, so have a look for Graf Heinrich von Hassager. You should be able to find this Register online. Good luck!!!! Hugs Ute

That is so cool. I just took my daughter to the Ellis Island website and she saw the info on her paternal great grandfather. There was even a lithograph of the ship he sailed to America on. Happy holidays to you and yours!!
