Description

Bartolommeo "the pugilist" as his friends call him used to box when he was young. "It was my dream " he told me but then his step daughter got really sick so he took a second job and then a third one. When his wife died after her daughter death he never trained again and his life spiraled down.. My wife drank herself to death, he told me. Today a local business man is going to let him volunteer at a boys camp.

All that and yet he doesn't give up. You can see in his face he accepts his life and does not feel punished by it. This is a really deep character portrait and the post work is excellent.

Wonderful portrait, very strong and i would be hesitant to say oversharpened/processed but it seems to work with it. Certainly a very eye catching portrait and part of your style. Nice work :)
