Description

I am among the many who display their favourite ornaments very prominently indeed on the Christmas tree! Inside the silver tree shape is a photo of my daughter, Jessica, who is currently in London, UK, working hard to finish her PhD! (Yup, same kid who wouldn't do her homework! Go figure!) When she was about 8-9, a babysitter taught her to blow an egg, fill it with a layer of wax, snip one side of it out with scissors and create these lovely ornaments. There is even a tiny mirror behind the duck! The backs are covered with velvet, and pretty braids and there's a ring of cord around the cut edge. Hope you can enjoy them half as much as I do! Thanks for visiting.

That egg idea is fabulous but I think it wouldn't work here for me. With the ornaments stored in our shed all year and temperatures over 100 degrees, I'd have a white puddle of wax in no time. :-) But I do love the way these look. What a great memory that lives on...
