Description

I know this is the end of the year and I wish to remember the ones that fought and die for freedom. I know too many people around the world do not understand what freedom is. It hard to think of something or tell some one what freedom is or what it not. I will not try here for I most likely fail to expain what freedom is and my idea may be off too. I know rules is in place to live by everyone. I know too if we was alone on a island we still not be free for we have to do things so we can live. So I know rules is diff from freedom. that all I got to say for now. thanks for looking and comments and votes too oh this was taken at pineville Nation Cemetary[miliary cemetary; the oldest one I saw was in the 1800's]

I heard a story of a woman who bought some chickens that was cage all they lives. She build a hen house and a yard for them . She put them in the hen house and not one came out for weeks. Then one came out and walked in the yard for the first time . the chicken was out just a few mintures then it went back in . the next day a couple more came out with the first one and little by little as the days past more came out. took many weeks for them to understand what they freedom was.

Grand shot and feelings for the shot. I to wish that I could explain Freedom in a way that could make the rest of the world see what was available 100 to 120 years ago and why the rest of the WORLD CAN NOT SEE IT TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have 29 cemataries in town Ranging from ethnic to fraternal orders and from what the old timers tell me everyone got along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At what price do we all enjoy our freedom. We don't appreciate it because like those chickens, we would rather stay caged, fed and taken care of. We are in a lethargic state of mind and heart because we have become a lazy nation of consumers who produce nothing, and given time, such an economy will collapse. Do we care? No. Give us our TV and our promises from FEMA (and we ALL know how much we can depend on those) and our shallow belief that all is well, and we will sleep until disaster falls. Then we will remember what freedom was and how much we will miss it. Vanity, vanity...The rant is complete. Sorry. It is a poignant and heartbreaking render.

It is a shame that so many need to die like this.Perhaps there will come a time when people will learn to resolve there differences without killing each other.

A wonderful tribute and rememberance for all those who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. There is no way we could ever thank them enough, except perhaps by respecting the freedoms we have now, and which they fought and died for. Let us not forget. Thanks Jock for sharing. May 2008 be a wonderful and peaceful year. Happy New Year to you and yours Jock.
