Description

Here are more shots I took of Makenna last summer. She's just so danged cute, I never get tired of using her as a model! This is her favorite thing to do at the playground. She gets handfulls of wood chips off the ground, carries them up onto the platform on the jungle jim, and spends all her time figuring out which bits of wood will go through those holes and which ones won't. She's quite persistent, and she's not ready to go home until she has made decisions about each and every piece of wood she brought up with her. I think children are born with their personalities intact, and it's our job to discover who they are. Nobody taught Makenna to do this, it's just her idea of a good time at the park! ........ Check out Full View. I made this big so you can see each picture full size.

Well if this doesn't make you smile then I think you need to have your Smile Button re-tuned. These pictures are priceless, and I especially love that third one where she is really checking things out. Makenna is a cutie and then some!

I would say this little doll is a scientist! I do know that her intensity in these pics is very scientific! I'm really cracking up because there is nothing more precious than a child bent on discovery and we live the world again through their eyes. This is precious! Thank-you for sharing this sunshine! Takes me back to my kids when they were scientists!

This reminds me very much of my daughter 9 Years old when she was that age * Everything needed to be explored and sometimes she looked at a little pebble for ages. She still does take her time and I enjoy to see the world through her eyes, if only for a little while. I did not rush her because I realized that she was learning. Sadly in these times where everything has to be quick and quicker Parents do not take the time to let their children explore, feel , smell and taste the world. Your photos say so much about your little scientist, what a clever little Girl. I wish you and your Family a very happy New Year.

Isn't it a shame that if we're still doing such things occasionally when adult we are considered to be barking mad!!

This reminds me so much of my daughter at that age, even down to the blonde hair and pink dress. She changed track when she was nine and studied amateur radio, passed her first City & Guilds of London Institute exam when she was ten. Beautiful collage Tara, and a beautiful little girl as well. Bravo!!!!!
