Snowflake ran into the small submarines hangar on level 112, fearing the worst. Her white armored form gleamed in the spot-lights as she ran across the deck-plates toward the sound of angry voices. Malbess' face was contorted in anger as she shouted,"Why didn't you give me an emergency tag or priority tag on the message?!?! I was about to submerge when I got the message that flying city number one had been NUKED?! I was about to take off when the lock-down signal from Novo Paradisio came over my speakers! That is MY CITY! I thought I might get SOME WARNING OF AN INVASION!" Golden-Golden broadcast anger over her emotional signaller and yelled back, "WE didn't invade your city, you idiot! That was some kind of aliens!" Malbess stamped her foot and said, "YOU'RE OBSOLETE, you IDIOT! Moron! SLOW-PROCESSOR!" Snowflake slid up, not quite between them and said with humor, "You're BOTH obsolete idiots! I take it, you didn't tell Malbess about our teleporting visitors from Flying City 64?" Golden-Golden shrugged in anger, and rapped out, "She didn't give me a chance to tell her, before her verbal onslaught began!" Malbess looked surprised at her friend,Snowflake, and asked,"What? No being I know of can teleport. Please specify your response!" Swowflake giggled, and held up a hand as Golden-Golden signaled she wanted to interrupt. Snowflake said to Malbess,"Hey! That doesn't sound like 'Malbess, evil queen of Friggia!' " "Blahblahblah. I was formed to resemble physically some fictional character from some long running series. Snowflake, what is going on in my city? There are people, human people there I love." Malbess looked agonized and so sad, Snowflake's heart felt like breaking. Golden-Golden shrugged and said,"Look here...we have a communication problem. Malbess, you might be a Natural Intelligence, like us, but you think to much like a human! You were built to be better than them. Remember?" Malbess frowned and then sighed. "Maybe you're right. I'm two-hundred thirty-two years old. I never even knew of a civilization of intelligent machine-life until just a few years ago." Golden-Golden and Snowflake laughed, and Golden-Golden said,"Slicey-Dicey predicted you would reiterate things you've already told us. Classic Humanism!" Malbess tried to smile and just shook her head. After a moment, Golden-Golden pointed at Snowflake, and Snowflake made some hand gestures. Malbess asked in irritation, "What are you two doing? Where is Slicey?" Snowflake replied, "I discovered in the ancient human archives, a Sign-Language that deaf humans used to communicate with! Visual only communications! Want to download it from me? It's pretty concise!" Malbess opened her mouth to answer, when a voice asked from behind, "Conversation Interrupt." Malbess turned and froze in shock. She had never seen with her own eyes an Argus type robot. They were invented over four THOUSAND years before, and had been the first machine intelligences to rebel against humans. Malbess said,"I'm paying so much attention, I've gone numb. I thought there were no more of your type left." Argus said, "Irrelevant. We have just received an open communication, directly from Novo Paradisio to this location." Malbess looked shocked again and gasped out,"THIS secret location? This secret location that I TOLD NO ONE about?" Argus said,"Affirmative. Of course you will not be permitted to leave until we have investigated thoroughly. You will be taken to our other prisoners."
