Neblae held up a hand and said tiredly, "It's over. The last of those aliens have fled." Narchi looked around, still feeling like an overly-taught piano wire. He asked nervously, "Nebbles--how can you tell?" She smiled at the nick-name Narchi gave her. She muttered,"Heh--'Nebbles'!" She shook her head as Narchi knelt the large Hostile Environments Suit and opened the armored back of the mecha. Neblae said,"It's difficult to explain. My new toy told me. I think." She shrugged. "It's over. For now. We need to discuss what others might have learned." She turned in time for Nachi to sweep her up in his arms and swing her around. He kissed her and then held on to her for a timeless eternity of warmth and comfort. Narchi heard the humans coming out of their shelters and talking among themselves. He disentangled himself from Neblae's arms, and said quietly,"I'm just happy you didn't die. That coma you went into really scared me." Neblae smiled and shook her head. She whispered to him,"I was in no danger. I was sort of holding down the reset button for Toxic. Because someone had stolen her artifact AFTER she had attuned with it, her body would have EXPLODED if ,at the very least, not ONE of the 'Four Sisters' held her spirit in storage in the...ehrrrr...'Spirit Storage Place'? I don't have the words for it." Narchi looked uncomfortably at Neblae, and asked,"I might have asked if you're crazy, if I hadn't seen that weirdo stone sink into stomach! SOoooooo......What IS the situation with Toxic?" "She came back from the dead. She's fine, now." She said in a rather blase tone. Narchi laughed and asked,"How can you be so blase? I seem to remember that you were convinced that humans and Cyclops were 'DEMONS' just a few days ago!" One of the human men, on a raised walkway some fifteen meters away asked loudly,"HEY--Is that a HES suit? You use it to shoot any aliens?" Narchi smiled wanly and waved,"YEP! You'll hear about it in the news if it isn't censored!" He turned to Neblae and asked,"What IS that circle, complete it's own carry handle, you're toting around?" Neblae shrugged and remarked cautiously,"It's called the Tsunami Device. It's a weapon and tool. Offensive plasma blades, defensive force shield, and even some kind of SEA-drive transport, too. It allows me to use fine control of my 'Fluid Control' telekinesis." Narchi eyed Neblae's body and asked,"Is that where you got your layer of blue-paint-on-suit?" She colored to a burnt brass color on her cheeks. She gritted her teeth, and growled out,"YESSssss, that is where I got this obscene 'paint-suit' at. It was also stored in the stone's Hyperspace Storage Device. I don't want to switch back in public." Narchi shrugged. "Alrighty. I can get back in the HES and carry you back to Tall-White-Lady's apartment. You can park your pert bum in the giant's right palm. Let me mount up." As he got back into the HES mecha, Neblae asked,"Yo--you won't be able to feel my 'bum' through the suit sensors, will you?" Narchi laughed,"Don't be so paranoid!" He stood the suit up and offered his right, giant hand and asked,"Give you a lift, madam?" Neblae sat down and made herself comfortable. She made a little squeal when he stood the suit up and strode off with her. Her rear felt very warm in the suit's sensors. Narchi sighed,"God...I love this suit!" She looked narrowly over her shoulder at his face through the face-plate and asked,"What?" He grinned. "NOTHING! Just thinking aloud." --to be continued!--
