Description
I am doing this dedication for my friend RubyT who is simply one of the kindest and most wonderful ladies I've ever known. When I asked her what sort of dedi she would like she asked if I could do it for her brother Nick who is no longer with us. I'll only share a bit about Nick with you but to me he is one of those smallest heroes I mentioned a while back. Ruby and Nick were poor when they were little and raised by parents who didn't treat them good. I will cut and paste a portion of what Ruby told me in
her letter to me below.

Yep, we overcame all that. There were lots of
emotional scars and a whole list of other stuff, but my brother fought to undo and redo so much for me and for himself. My brother was my Hero. Still is. If it weren't for my brother, I would not be who I am today and my life would surely not be as it has been. I owe everything I am to him. He saved my life and gave me a new one by stealing me away from them and hiding me til I was 18. He re-raised me. Nick was a true Hero and thee kindest human I have ever known in my entire life.
I don't know about you but I was fighting back the tears while I worked on my dedi to her and wishing I was more talented and could give Ruby & Nick a dedication they truly deserve. Ruby asked me to do a image of Nick having a happy childhood, one like they never had, and to maybe include a butterfly. This is what I came up with after thinking about it.
MY BROTHER - MY HERO: I can close my eyes and
picture Ruby & Nick in a wonderous sandbox, having the time of their lives and not a care in the world. A small blue butterfly appears just above them and Nick reaches out and it lands on his finger.Ruby looks on at her big brother in awe as she has always been of him. This is the childhood I wish I could give them for real. Hugs to you Ruby and Nick, you are both in my heart always,

This was one of the most difficult renders I've ever done because of the emotion attached to it. In closing I'd like to say to parents out there. Please if you have children only show them love and protect them from bad things. I know thing can be tough sometimes and people can get angry or frustrated but there is NEVER any excuse for mistreating a child. EVER !

Spanish: Hago esta dedicación para mi amigo RubyT quien es simplemente uno de los más amables y lo más maravilloso señoras he sabido alguna vez. Cuando le pregunté que clase de dedi que le gustaría ella preguntó si yo podría hacerlo para su hermano Nick que está ya no con nosotros. Voy a sólo comparta un poco sobre Nick con usted pero a mí él es uno de aquellos héroes más pequeños mencioné un rato atrás. El rubí y Nick eran pobres cuando ellos eran poco y levantado por padres que no los trataron bueno. Yo cortará y pegará una porción de en qué Ruby me dijo su carta a mí abajo. Sí, vencimos todo esto. Había mucho de cicatrices emocionales y una lista entera de otra materia, pero mi hermano luchó para deshacer y rehacer tanto para mí y para él. Mi hermano era mi Héroe. Todavía es. Si no mi hermano, yo no sería quien yo son hoy y mi vida no sería seguramente como esto tiene sido. Debo todo que soy a él. Él salvó mi vida y me dio nuevo uno robándome lejos de ellos y escondiéndome til yo tenía 18 años. Él me levantó de nuevo. Nick era un Héroe verdadero y el humano thee más amable que tengo alguna vez conocido en mi vida entera. No sé sobre usted pero yo aguantaba el los rasgones mientras le trabajé en mi dedi y deseo I era más talentoso y podría dar el Rubí y Nick a dedicación ellos realmente merecen. Ruby me pidió hacer a imagen de Nick que tiene una infancia feliz, un como ellos nunca tenían, e incluir tal vez una mariposa. Este es con qué subí después de pensar en ello. Mi Hermano - Mi Héroe: puedo cerrar mis ojos y imagine el Rubí y Nick en un cajón de arena wonderous, teniendo el tiempo de sus vidas y no un cuidado en el mundo. Una pequeña mariposa azul aparece sólo encima de ellos y Nick extiende la mano y esto aterriza en su dedo. Rubí mira en su hermano grande en el temor cuando ella tiene siempre sido de él. Este es la infancia que lamento que yo no pudiera déles para verdadero. En cierre me gustaría decir a padres ahí. Por favor si usted hace que niños sólo les muestren el amor y protéjalos de cosas malas. Meu Irmão - O meu Herói: posso fechar os meus olhos e pinte o Rubi e Nick em uma caixa de areia wonderous, tendo o tempo das suas vidas e não um cuidado no mundo. Uma pequena borboleta azul aparece somente acima deles e Nick estende a mão para pegar e ele aterrisa no seu dedo. Rubi assiste em seu grande irmão no terror como ela tem sempre sido dele. Isto é a infância que lamento que eu não pudesse dê-lhes para verdadeiro. Apertos para você Rubi e Nick, você estão ambos no meu coração sempre, Dave Isto foi um dos mais difíceis dá tenho alguma vez feito por causa da emoção atada para ele. Em encerramento eu gostaria de dizer a pais lá fora. Por favor se você faz que crianças só lhes mostrem o amor e proteja-os de más coisas. Sei que a coisa pode ser resistente às vezes e gente pode zangar-se ou frustrado mas não há NUNCA nenhuma desculpa para maus tratos de uma criança. ALGUMA VEZ!

Well, you got me! Tears came and are now dripping on my computer, which will probably short out. But, what a wonderfully beautiful dedication to RubyT. I agree, she is fantastic and I will always have special place for her. She was the first to comment on my first image I posted on here. She has showed me nothing but kindness. It is so funny, never would I have guessed she had, had s terrible childhood. Thank goodness for her brother, but also herself. Even though her brother helped her, she helped herself. Wonderful for us and others she knows.

you brought tears to my eyes with this one, too, Dave. your wonderful words and your amazing art together really can touch a heart. the children in this scene are happy and healthy and so very sweet... all children should have lives like this. I did, and it always breaks my heart that not every child did or does. children are special and beautiful and they only want love. so simple a thing, really... hugs thank you for seeing the world through the children'e eyes... that is a special gift.
