Description

Resolution time! This year I am finally going to finish this book I started. I am hoping that my artist friends will help me illustrate it. Letâ??s have some fun. Read the story and if it inspires you come up with an image that fits. Oh, and BTW, write â??BFTâ?? (The Battle For Traddlebow) at the beginning of the title so I can find it in search. Now I am going to try and add a chapter each day â?? Mon through Fri. (yes I have most of it already written) But no Guarantees! And each week I will award $100.00 for the best image of the week (uploaded here and on Mernac by Sunday) with TBG (well on the Rendy Version) in the title â?? Renderosity store credit or Paypal â?? your choice. Is $100.00 bucks much? Nah, but this is more of a challenge amongst friends and ya retain all rights anyway â?? but it will motivate me to finally finish this â?? Wanna play? Who know where both of us will end up? Great - hereâ??s todayâ??s story? This chapter

Last Chapter

BFT # 1 (beginning)
Table of Contents --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mootill Mootill was a Fur from the Valley of the Gentle Ones on the island continent of Ooloo and was born on the first day of Della in 2622. As per custom, Mootill should have been known formally as Mootill Aamba, taking his father's first name as his last; this is what has been done as long as any Fur can remember. Except that his father, Aamba, was banished when Mootill was but a cub and with this banishment Aamba's name was never to be spoken again. So Mootill has but a single name and will always be remembered in history, simply as: Mootill. With his solid golden coat of fur, Mootill was destined to become one of the greatest Goldenfur leaders, not only to his village, but to the entire race of Furs. His feature were typical of most Furs who were created when Siberlee slept with a man, a wolf, and a lion all in the same night to create the Fur Race. His lion heritage gave him the sleek four legged body of a lion, complete with a golden mane that traveled from his hair, down his neck and onto his back. His human torso and head and arms were just slightly accentuated with the canine features of a wolf, particularly where his mouth and nose resembled more of snout of a Midnight Wolf than that of a man. He was always considered beautiful by other Furs, but his masculine human arms, face, and body have been praised by many a Human, Elf, and even by the Merfolk females. Though born and raised a pacifist, Mootill became a fierce fighter to protect the Furs from extinction during the Sap Wars in the 2600s. Probably the most noted of his exploit was his involvement in The Battle for Traddlebow, thought he did it though magic and from many thousand of leagues away. Classically trained as a Shooze, as his class dictated, Mootill greatly developed this ancient form of non-lethal magical combat to its greatest height and will always be known as one of its greatest practitioners. The powerful mesmerizing spell, "Darkened Tiko Sleep", is rumored to have been first cast by Mootill. After the Sap Wars, Mootill is credited with numerous successful quests and adventures throughout the entire world of Mernac. All of his exploits seem to have been aimed at bettering the life of all races. Though he is credited in this period with being purely altruistic, Mootill was secretly trying to absolve himself of a crime - that of killing so many (even though they were enemies) to save the Fur race during the Sap Wars. It is said that from this war Mootill developed an open wound to his heart, from guilt - a wound that would never quite heal. Later in life, Mootill developed his own discipline of internal magical strength, giving him the ability to focus and concentrate his, or others, magical forces and Ga to almost double their normal levels. Mootill refined this ability and began teaching others in the mid 2700s. This ultimately would develop into a new class and become a discipline that all with magic ability would crave for generations to follow. These teachings became known as the Moot Class. Even with founding the Moot Class, Mootill always retained his Shooze training and became known as the founder of the hybrid Shooze Moot Class. ------------------------------------------------- Now I would just love if someone could come up with a good image of Mootil - yeah it will be tough - but you got it in you! Rick
