Description

I was takeing photos of this at lake Martin. i was just ready to go when the tour boat came into this area. Lol I starting shooting and look like some one shot me from the boat. i think it cool. The sun was shineing down on me and on the Spainish moss on the trees at that angle. Hard to get the shot with out sun flarls. I forgot the sun hood at home lol. So I was useing a new paper and then I still got a red sun spot that I had to post work out of the photo and It was underexpose too. Got more shots of the tour boat. Forgot how much it cost. Thinking of going on it myself. thanks for looking and comments Oh that the name of the company that do these tours [it the title with out the boat on it cost is $20 a adult and $10 for child under 13

It does not look at all like a pirogue. The leisurely poling that merges with Venice is gone in a blare of two stroke. You could only meet hippos like this. Maybe the owner is African.

This would make a great background for a spooky render, without the boat of course. Excellent shot Jocko. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent capture Jocko! I wish I could go on a ride like this! I'm not much of a photographer but it would be nice to take some snaps for use as backgrounds! Muis

Wow this is an enchanting landscape! I would like very much travel in this country! I ask myself that very probably you focussed to near (on the twigs at the bottom of the pict), therefore the BG has some lack of sharpness (I saw that loading the popup image). Clearly with a 135 focal length, and f/7.1 which is not very closed, you have to be careful on the spot which you camera uses to do the autofocus. I am using a D70 which is similar to your more recent D80, and I have checked "central focus only" so that I can decide on which place I focus (an old habit that I am keeping from my Nikon F4, LOL); I admit that it is not always the best solution, but… I made the same adjustment (single central AF only) on the D50 of my wife Marie-Thérèse (mtc at Renderosity) and we are glad with that. Have a great week Jocko! 5+!
