Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

Beautiful - the stretch in the line of version from the closeup of the tractor out to the hedge row is fantastic.

Aw, c'mon, you're not going to let a little snow prevent you from going out with the boat and taking a spin around the lake, are you? Should be no problem with the tractor pulling it up to the shoreline. Splended POV, color and clarity in this fine capture of the snow in all its pristine glory.

What pristine beauty of the tractor in the harsh snow! Do I have things reversed here? lol Excellent contrast and POV. I hope you hardy MN's survive the cold.

(did I never respond to this?) It's such an interesting photo! Two 'openings' containing two bunches of stuff (I'm an urban guy, I don't know tractor engines & big sheds!), & they're right in line with each other.. And for all the busy-ness of the 'stuff', it's just 3 or 4 simple planes: The luscious red 'slap' of the tractor, the grays & blacks of the shed, the near-whited out sky, and the snow. You get these simple splashes in the midst of all your complexity. Also, is that a boat in the shed? A wild image in the middle of Minnesota winter! I've seen this picture, like, 10 times, and for some reason never commented. Well, I just did. I love the contrasts & love to see your mind move inside your heart. Besides, it's probably the closest I'll ever get to a tractor!
