My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Geez, I've seen my fair share of these in the garden and I have got to the point where I only let one or two stay to mature. When those pods open thousands of seeds hit the ground and most of them spout! This is a beautiful shot, Tara. You really got the texture of them beautifully.

This is great, like PJ, I have them around also, they are very trippy little things, for sure!!

Gorgeous shot, quite charming............ (small correction though. Each of those seed heads can produce up to 2-3 hundred or more next year.....if all seeded correctly and separately!) Ain't nature grand?

Wow, this is the first time I have ever seen it this way. I hope there will be lots more next season. Aloha

Woooow I was skipping through the thumbs here and thought I'll just take a closer look at these round street lamps with ornate crowns on top lol. But no, its a great close-up shot of the poppy's.

Poppy see pods have always fascinated me, like alien objects. The photography is excellent with such clear detail - hugs Jane xx
