I love the haze and you do such a great job on water! The colors in this are beautiful, reminds me of the old copper plates that my gran had that had sailing ships on them. Glad you liked the baby squirrel:-)

Fantastic work Peter. What really amaze me on this picture is the way you managed to give the viewer the impression of sunshine through rain. The colour on the side of the ship tells me the sun is shining from the starboard side of the picture, even if i cant see the sun. The angry sea and the threatening black clouds, mixed with the sunshine gives the picture a mixed mood atmosphere imo. But it tells me.. that the sun shines through the rough weather. Wonderful picture and mood.

Definitely the wrong time to visit the island! Beautiful shadows on the sail and the light shining golden the side of the ship. Wonderful atmosphere of adventure and looming disaster. This is a great rendering of the spirit of the time, when discovery was lauded and danger expected. The same spirit that a century later would see people looking to the stars. Wonderful texture, color and light! Excellent image!

Lovely cloud cover and I like how you added the chunks of lava and rocks hitting the surface of the ocean. An excellent creation!
