Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

A lovely Orchid, sounds like it will keep the place bright and cheerful for some time. You must have looked after it well.

You described the vase perfectly - this is just what I expected to see! It's beautiful. Gorgeous orchid, too. Nice work!

OHH!!! Hov lovely they are.. You must have green fingers, as we say in Denmark. I wouldnt even dare having such one. I am sure I would kill it, before a week was gone. Well done :)))

I love orchids but I really have no luck with them. I gave the last one I had to my sister she is the one with the green thumb. Very beautiful orchid you have grown there.

Lovely! More than 20 spikes!!! I'm jealous, only 5 this year1

A wonderful Photo. The Flowers in vases, in my ambit normally die of thirst or drown... my green thumb, as we say here in germany, is more... black ore brown...

Excellent picture. I have heard of people who pass certain plants from generation to generation as family heirlooms. I guess you could! I personally have trouble getting weeds to grow in my yard!... :) Brown thumb and all! Todd

I wish my friends thought to give me such marvelous gifts! I usually get gift cards but I'd much prefer a lovely vase like this one. Great orchids too...I killed mine last year. I'm not much of an orchid grower I guess...

Great plant shot! ROFL! You plant people amaze me! I can never tell whether you're complaining or bragging! It's like a truck driver who says he's tired, cause he got 4,000 paid miles last week. Just pullin' on your chain, Marilyn! I love your photos!
