Description

Ok, I've had you all on the edge of your seats, with white knuckles and seat belts fastened on my way home. So, time to take a deep breath, relax, and take a walk to my favorite river. I took this about 2 weeks ago, it's looking north on the Eel River bar. I live to the left and down from the two houses you see on the hill. If we were to take this walk today, we'd need a boat, the river is bank to bank and was at nearly flood stage on Friday!! It's down now, but still full. Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am to live near such beauty!!

It is beautiful - a tranquil spot to live. I would have a hard time going to work each day if I had the chance to walk here instead. :-) Gorgeous shot.

Excellent reflections and lots of cold, beautiful atmosphere in this capture of the scenic vista, Marilyn. I was hoping to see another one of your heart-in-your-throat shots taken through the windshield of your vehicle as you hydroplaned blindly down the road at 65+mph, but this lovely photo will do just fine, thank you. Not to nitpick or anything, but is the horizon really tilted like that?
