Miki here acts as a gentle caricature of Mary Hart, who seems to have boundless enthusiasm for even the most inane stories.
And doesn't Cal look just too cool in his specs??

Clever idea and execution! What a hoot! Mary Hart used to have hot legs... They're not featured as much any more...
