I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

Love the contrast between natural and manmade. If that stove stays there too much longer, Mother Nature is going to claim it and plant her seeds in and around it! In a few years it will blend right into the surrounding woods! Wonderful capture

Wonderful shot! I love old stoves and have one of my own. The blue speckled enamel is very interesting, and something I have not seen on any others. So sad to see it rusting away out in the open, someone should restore this, it is lovely!!

When I was a kid, my great-grandmother lived up in Eatonville and cooked on a stove much like this. I believe it was black, though. She would feed kindling into the firebox to get it the temperature she wanted. It amazes me now, although at the time it was just how grandma cooked! Thanks for the memories. This is a great shot!
