I am a Lancastrian living in the White Rose County of Yorkshire, hence the moniker.
Since moving here, I have managed to get out and about around the North Yorks moors and the coastal areas. I love taking taking photographs, but until I can afford a dSLR, I am having to make do with a 2.1 Megapixel Olympus C-700UZ, which I bought in 2002, with very few attachments.Â
I can't say if my technique is any good, as I have absolutely no training. It's simply a case of my posting the pictures I like. Some of them are a bit abstract, some documentary, and some are uncomplicated. I very rarely crop and never play with colour and the only other adjustments I might make would be to alter the angle very slightly as I feel that even if the camera can lie, I can't. If a picture is really bad, it gets deleted!
I don't do portraits, simply because I can never do my subjects justice

I see what you mean! The best part are the reflections in the water. ;o) Excellent capture.

Beautiful capture.

The place is called Paddy's hole. It is an inlet on the South Gare, at the mouth of the River Tees. A popular spot with fishermen, photographers and shipspotters!

A stunning view of a working harbor/port/industrial area. Good feel and nice clean shot.

This looks like the perfect little haven from all the industrial backdrop, which does add charm to the scene amazingly enough..

I love these places! At first sight it looks so chaotic, beautiful! The eyes need time to register all these things, and I explore more and more. Very interesting! I am searching these places in Berlin, we have a lot here, too. But are "cleaning up" here tin these days, and that destroyes the atmosphere
