I am a Lancastrian living in the White Rose County of Yorkshire, hence the moniker.
Since moving here, I have  managed to get out and about around the North Yorks moors and the coastal areas.  I love taking taking photographs, but until I can afford a dSLR, I am having to make do with a 2.1 Megapixel Olympus C-700UZ, which I bought in 2002, with very few attachments. 
I can't say if my technique is any good, as I have absolutely no training. It's simply a case of my posting the pictures I like.  Some of them are a bit abstract, some documentary, and some are uncomplicated.  I very rarely crop and never play with colour and the only other adjustments I might make would be to alter the angle very slightly as I feel that even if the camera can lie, I can't.  If a picture is really bad, it gets deleted!
I don't do portraits, simply because I can never do my subjects justice
