Description

This is dedicated to Rita ( Three_grrr ) who is a truly wonderful lady and dear friend. Her photos are amazing and I was instantly pulled in to her gallery by the photos of her dogs and the camping trips she takes. On top of that she also does some really amazing fractals that I also enjoy. During our friendship Rita has been very supportive of Veronica and my nieces and asks about them a lot. Rita told me some fun stories of their adventures camping with her husband and the dogs and one story I loved was of the their encounter with a skunk. Uninvited Guest: The oldest dog Gracie Anne and her side kick Murphy were smart enough to not go near what looked like a kitty in the forest, but B-Dog being young and having never seen a skunk boldly ran into the woods after it. I was wondering what it would have looked like if B-Dog had been chased back to their camp instead of getting sprayed in the woods and this is what I came up with. In my mind I can see the look of horror on Rita's face as the skunk is right behind B-Dog as they enter their camp. Both kids yelling and begging for them to stay back. Hope it provides some smiles. This is something I've never had to deal with. My parents hated camping. Probably due to just this very possibility. And the bugs - Ontario is famous for black flies. But I did have an 'encounter' with a black bear once. You represent the shock and terror very well. For both the kids and the dogs. Well, the older dogs also have an effective expression of disgust over how B-Dog has just ruined a perfectly lovely day. Excellent work and detail.

LOL! I've been camping in a tent when a skunk decided to visit the campsite... we all stood very, very still and it just walked away, thank goodness. if we had dogs, I'm sure the scene would have looked very much like this one. the expressions on the kids faces are great but I absolutely love the one on the dog near the tent... that is priceless! fantastic work, once again, Dave! hugs

Very funny and wonderful render David. Great Dedi too. We have lots of skunks around my place. Never much problem. My Dad took me camping and fishing many times when I was young. He liked to fish like a bear... He would stand waist deep and quiet.. then flip the fish to me on the bank when one came into reach. Was fun until I got hit in the face with a really big fish once. Bravo and best wishes from Dave :^)
