Description
This one is a tribute.
About 10 years ago, I discovered a cartoon/tattoo artist named Chris Cooper, better known as Coop. I really enjoyed his style, which seems to have been influenced by pulp comic artists like Wally Wood.
In any case, when it came to the day I decided to get some ink, it was one of Coop's pieces that I got needled into my left shin.
I've been an avid fan ever since.
This is a tribute to Coop....one of the most remarkable pop artists of the last decade.

All of my kids have been inked.Usually on their 18th birthday as a gift from me. They have always seemed apalled by the thought of me doing it though. I love the colour and incredible detail here. I have always loved the inkmasters who used colour rather than the more tame shaded tribals. Perhaps that is why the kids were afraid, they thought I might have a psychedelic scene on my back.
