Description

This is the same day I shot all my foggy swamp photos and the sun came out and i headed to the coffee shop. I wanted to go to the old building too where this farn stuff is in. The old building used to be the Chevy car dealership place in town.. sure did go down hill that for sure. anyway i thought about the flash been too much so I say I try in the morning as the sun light comes thought the window in back of the horse drawn farm stuff. I saw the sun light was just right lol. You see two of them and one is called a rounder for it will shape the rolls of dirt. And the other one is a raker for hay. It will rake the cut grass into rolls so it can be make into bales of hay. A old man saw this at the coffee shop as I was working on the image and ask where I got the photos and I told him. He told me what the french names are but he told me what they do too. He a old cajun that can speack French and English. The French here will be diff from the french in Canada or France. thanks for looking and comments and votes too here is the link to my first upload on the farm stuff http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1591004 title is "rides of long ago."

There is a savage winnowing of salvage that retains a rewriting.

Oh! boy, do I remember those seats, I used to work part time on a farm when twelve to sixteen years old. I have worked the hay mower and the baler amongst others. Those seats, if you sit for too long you get bumps on your rear. lol. Some people would pay good money for these, to do up for museum pieces. Excellent capture Jocko. Bravo!!!!!

It looks so lonely. Sometimes progress leaves wonderful things like this in the dust. What a shame. Excellent shot! (:

I remember this shot. I like the warmer tones in this image. It would be nice if someone could restore these implements to their former beauty. Nice shot.

A wonderful slice of history and your shot is grand. Nice you met the old gentleman and could talk about the old equipment. You find the most interesting stuff on your travels Jock. Great work. Hugs. Di. xx

I did like the extremes of the prior photo, but am sure the critics would prefer this one! ;)

I like this lighting that gives it an almost sepia tone. But unlike you I would have moved the tire lol.

You find some of the neatest stuff to photograph! I really like how this turned out. Most of the intersting stuff around here is in the worst sections of town, and I'd be a teensy bit afraid to go there. Abandoned buildings seem to be the place for street people and druggies crash. So you should be careful too, when you go in these places to get your photos.

Ah yes. I had to work on one of those planting bell peppers when I was a kid, but it was drawn by a tractor instead of a horse. Good nostalgia.

What a interesting shot of history left to rust! The rounder and raker should be in a museum, not rusting away in an old car dealership. Anyway, your usual excellent image,Jocko.
