Description

Of all the flowers that nature offers, I think that the Wild Iris is one of my favorites. Its beautiful majestic colors sing to the heart and its form is enticing and pleasing to the eye. The Wild Iris is to me a passionate flower and holds mysteries of which one can only dream. Created within the confines of this image is my interpretation of the Wild Iris. Its majestic beauty speaks to the heart and brings peace of one's soul. I think one of the things that I like most about the Wild Iris is its color. Purple has long been thought of as a healing color in metaphysical circles. This could be why one feels harmony when viewing this lovely creation of nature. This is a single flame created with Apophysis 2.07. This is stunning, Gayle. I have an entire yard filled with wild Iris and among them are a few white, tinged with blue as well. They get quite unmanageable after a few seasons, tho, as there always seems to be the need to keep dividing the plants. You certainly have captured their abstract beauty with this one.

Absolutely gorgeous artwork! Yes, you are right--there is a song in our hearts always singing a different melody. Your image captures the intensity and the passion of the mood, and flows so melodically. The lilac and purple shades are most lovely creating a monochromatic tone..... excellent artwork... This certainly is a song of the heart!
