Description

Simply aiming for good interior lighting. 3 area lights, radiosity render. Version 2 might do some more with materials, but for now, the lighting was the priority. Very minor postwork only (very slight film grain). Thanks for viewing.

Very good..almost photorealistic. Did you do the landscape pictures as well??? :)

Yes, the landscapes are previous Vue renders :) Trepz - the banding could be smoothed out by bumping up the GR quality boost but I was too impatient to wait for a longer render!

beautiful realism. but also, wonderful soft light. it has a great mood: pleasant but mellow and somewhat aloof. i don't understand why the middle light is so much brighter than the other two when what is visible of it looks the same, but i like the effect on the walls and the statue. the statue itself is very interesting; the curvilinear shapes it holds help soften the space and provide good visual contrast to the very spare and structured scene. gorgeous work!

Good lighting here, but I thing that spots would have been better, because of the indirect lighting one should be waiting for in a painting or photographic gallery. Visitors must no be blinded with direct light !

Superb quality of light and materials. It must have taken some time to set-up and render. Awesome work.

Nice to come back to this gallery:) It does look very grand and calm - I expect visitors just tiptoe quietly. I am wondering is dimmer light wouldnt bring out the wonders of radiosity better. I'm not an expert but I think you loose some subtlty by having the lights so bright. Perhaps another study with the gallery after closing time?
