The images I have chosen to show on Renderosity are just a small sample of my 2D vector and 3D CGI artwork. Interested viewers are invited to also visit my personal website: http://www.dcmstarships.com BIO I enjoy creating original designs of speculative starships, space stations, and futuristic architecture. I started out using TrueSpace for 3D modeling and rendering. Now, I use Rhino5 for 3D modeling and rendering. 2D touch up work on my images is done with Corel Draw and Corel Photo-Paint. For backgrounds, I have used Hubble Space Telescope photos, Universe Image Creator, Lunar Cell and various Photoshop tools provided by fellow Renderosity artists. In addition to making my own artwork, I enjoy reviewing the work of other 3D CGI artists, especially those also doing spaceships. I try to support my fellow Renderosity artists by making supportive comments on those images that catch my eye. I like to buy science fiction themed 3D CGI parts and custom photoshop brushes from the Renderosity Marketplace as another way to support my fellow artists.

In response to Mirith's detailed and well-meant comments: The whole concept for the "Galactic Travelers" designs is that they are meant to be very abstract designs from the far future. I deliberately chose the Renfield psychedelic textures to get this dreamy, surreal look. These handful of "Galactic Travelers" designs are supposed to contrast with the majority of my other starship designs that look more industrial. A quick tour through my Renderosity Gallery will show that I like to create ships in a variety of styles with many different hull forms, texturing schemes, and levels of modeled detail. I understand that some of my ships styles will be less popular than others. Still, I offer them as alternatives to what many folks expect starships should look like. What I have come to appreciate the most about the Renderosity science fiction galleries is that such a wide variety of spaceship designs can be found there. I have tried to do my part to contribute to that wonderful collection of diverse visions of speculative spaceship designs.

In response to dcmstarships response to my comment.... I have removed it. It was unworthy. Once again, I had missed the point!

I am very impressed with mirith's thoughful consideration of my response to his well meant critique and the kind action he took in response. I am so appreciative of our Renderosity artist community and how we all grow by learning from each other's work.
