Description

Here is a CGI kit bashing project I have been working on as a Rhino training exercise. I have combined my hull and engines with parts from many talented artists to create a ship reminiscent of those seen in "Star Blazers" and "Wing Commander." Some of my parts were created in TrueSpace while others were made directly in Rhino. The image was textured using mostly my own custom textures. It was rendered using Rhino's native Rhino Render with a background done in Photoshop using Lunarcell plug-in and a variety of custom Photoshop brushes. Running lights and engine glows were added in Universe Image Creator and weapons fire was added in Corel Draw. Many thanks for all the artists who let me use their parts.

I would have done less contrast and brightness on the ship and backgound as to increase the gloweffects of the weopons, nice detail tho

just a small suggestion, for the lasers, do more of short burst like light than 1 long infinite beam. and in post work, take like a soft airbrush and pick a color thats like..with white do like a white-ish blue and then just spray around the 'beam' to make it 'glow' a bit. other than that, doing very well.

Nice ship design, great collaborative effort! I would agree that the particle beam (and engine glow for that matter) would look better if they had another color glow to them. The off white blends too much with the ship color.
