It is so cute and this is a bird we have many of in DK, but it has not always been like that. It is changing all the time. Right now we are being visited by a whole bunch of Tail Tits, as we call them, because of their long tails. I hope I will catch them nicely. Helle

Nice capture Mick, I don't know too much about birds but I recognised this as a Chaffinch straight away, I had to buy a book on British Birds coz while we are out rambling some are hard to identify.

Well caught! The only downside to my pocket digi is that I no longer get decent bird pics.

Tara took the words right out of my keyboard - great camo he's got!! I have some shots of a woodpecker I took last year, this little guy let me get right in his face, we went round and round the apple tree! Great shot, Mick, hope you're coping with the second day of non smoking!!

Keep up the pledge Mick, take a day at a time, it can only get easier now, the first day is always the hardest. Great capture of this cute chaffinch, although not pin sharp it is still a good capture and one to build on, I have always been told to concentrate on the eyes, if you get them sharp that is the main thing. I think this has been made more difficult because of the leaf detritus that is on the ground. Maybe a smaller F stop would have helped at that distance. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
