This new life of mine is measured in countless, blessed and beautiful moments captured in photographs. The most pivotal one called 'December Gazing" and this one above of me infront of Buddy Guy's louge/club in Chicago July 2007 taken shortly after embarking on the greatest trip of my life, a trip and adventure to last a lifetime. Photography saved me in so many ways and now, for what it's worth, I live and breathe it. At a time when everything was out of control photography was the only thing I had control over. It's taught me to be/live in the present and not only capture but truly appreciate and savour the moment.
It's no wonder I'm rather passionate about photography; it lead me to Marshall, (a.k.a PhrankPower) the love of my life. Never did I ever dreamed or dared imagine I'd ever come to experience, let alone, dwell happily with a love of this breath and depth. I feel truly blessed and at times as Ebenezer Scrooge said "I don't deserve to be this happy!"
The galleries here continue to inspire me to do better as a photographer and to dream bigger dreams. The world is a vast beautiful and wild place, I thank you all for sharing pictures of your world and life. I appreciate your views and time. Comments for improvement is always appreciated and welcomed.
And be sure to... "Live like there's no tomorrow, love like you've never been hurt, dance like no one's watching."

I stand by my comparison to Stephen King's work...it has a quality of expectancy in this fabulous home. An energy runs through it that seems to weave a spell around the viewer. A most exciting old home and this is a fabulous shot of some of it's detail.

This remarkable photo very much has liked to me.

Fabulous imagery, I think the antlered head looks like many pagan illustrations I have seen, the melding of man/woman and nature. Likewise, the image you are calling a snowflake, which it may well be, could also be a plant based illustration, similar to the decorative Fleur-de-lis? Either way, I think they are based on natural themes, assimilated through the cultural icons they were familiar with... What will people think 200 years from now, when they see our symbols?

The whole idea of symbolism here is stunning, and not a bit unusual for this kind of work. It only adds another layer of mystery and wonder to this entire series of fotos, so incredibly well done!!

Thanks for the close-up. Odd symbols indeed, though symmetrical patterns are very common. I am thinking maybe the face is a green man variant.

interesting symbols...

Nice abstract work.

Looks much like the hex symbols found on many southeastern Pennsylvania barns, done by German immigrants. Perhaps they found their way to Tennessee as well? Whatever the case, nice capture. : )

so cool looking

The outer wood looks like mahogany or walnut and the inner wood looks like a burl elm. Hard to tell from a picture but beautiful work just the same.

Whatever the reasons for the symbols, the work is fabulous. This is a fascinating image - well shot. Thanks for more of this wonderful house!
