Okay, so the staggering learning curve continues...! I've been looking at Poser -> Vue import, creating textures, function editor, atmospheres, metaclouds...the list is nearly endless...!
This image was a vehicle to learn more about Vue. I don't think it's a terribly exciting image but it will serve to chronicle my learning and ability (hoping it will improve of course!).
Anyway, thanks for looking and of course any hints and tips are always welcome!! ;-)
Cheers, Antony.

Pretty good looking to me. Using the P7 to Vue is a challenge. One that you can handle, it seems. ^__^

i love those clouds. this is a good simple scene and beginning, with a sort of classical composition. for your next image, i'd' say you could spend a little more time on light and pose, but overall, i'm very impressed with this first step!

This is looking good! A very good start. I like the pose, expression, composition and clouds. The haze is also just exact, IMO. Well, you asked hints and tips so I'll tell you what I would do differently in this image. Of course, these are just my opinions. a) The shadows on the girl seem too dark. The sunlight seems intense and generally in these cases the sky itself and things around also cast some light. So, I would increase the "sky dome lighting gain". Alternatively, you can move the sliders of ambient light more to the left, if you want a feeling of more overcast. Or you can make the sun shadows not as intense (I normally use around 85% intensity). Or you can make a combination of any of the above. b) Since there are clouds and some mist, normally this makes the transition light/shadow a bit softer. So, in this case I would increase the softness in the sun light a bit. c) There are texture artifacts in her blouse and jeans. You would either need to increase the scale of the bump or, if it doesn't solve it or if it messes up the texture, render with texture anti-aliasing. d) The mountains seem not to have enough resolution, some pixelation is visible. I would increase their resolution to 512x512. Additional software: e) If you are serious about mountain creation in Vue, I would recommend you to purchase GeoControl. It's really worth it. f) If you plan on rendering many humans in Vue, I would definitely recommend you to get SkinVue. It makes a lot of difference. In my gallery I posted some portraits where I commented about my use of SkinVue, take a look to see the potentials. I wish you have lots of fun with Vue but take care, it's very addictive! :-)
