Description

It's always fun to see what shows up when looking through a series of fast shots as you don't often see details on the lcd monitor. In low light, iso 640 and a 50% crop, this isn't the best quality, but the capture of the moment was too good to resist. With only so many feeding ports, there is always a bird trying to force his way in and force another one out. This one was being told in no uncertain terms that he was not welcome!! Wonder if he lost a few feathers in the fray. With two others showing their defensive posture, it's the little guy, top right, trying to look around the corner to see what's going on that tickled me. Thanks so much for your kind comments and favs on yesterday's photo manip, and thanks for having a peek at this one.

OHH dear, I just love this. LOL! they are not always nice to each others. I tell you I am so fighting to make a decent shot of my birds outside, but ALL of them gets blury. Even the disgusting RAT I saw out there I couldnt capture nicely. I even try to go so near the window as possible, but No, it wont. But I dont give up.

Gotta say, it is amazing to look in on this interaction and note that its much like watching humans arranged around the dinner table. Adult posturing, children just trying to blend in and not give an accounting of the day's activities, someone grabbing for that last bite before someone else gets it... its just marvelous to look at this and I would guess that one did lose a feather or two...

Oh! Maria.... Poor little fellow at the bottom.. Like kids at a party. Hope it was only his pride that was hurt. Superb action capture. It is a joy. Hugs. Diane.

WOW...this is great work on so many different levels; there is a gorgeous sense of color and action. The bird in the process of getting a bald patch is well captured, and yeah, the curious one looking around the corner adds such an extra dimension. Funny how the cutest birds are always the most quarrelsome. I haven't seen that many in Prague, but in Chicago, it's always the littlest ones who cause the biggest, tussling commotions.

Excellent capture again! You're right- the little guy on top is too funny! This is why I'm hoping Uncle Sam is good to me this year- I need to upgrade to a better camera! :)

Great capture, they all seem to be a little put off by this guy. I have a lot of bird feeders and spend a lot of time watching them. But have never been able to get a good capture.
