I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

Certainly looks like a dream of some kind! I'm not sure of the symbology, but WOOOHOO for surreality! I like it! Weird, but great job.

Excellent render and that present looks great. I love the effect of her drifting above the earth.

Wow, this is beautiful. Really lovely. Technically, it looks perfect to me with maybe a bit more of anti-aliasing needed in the ground plane, middle ground and near the horizon. But that's a minor thing in such a great work. The cloth looks wonderful, her pose and dress just perfect and the painting from where the present is coming from deserved an image of its own. The soft light in the distant clouds make them sort of magical, dreamy, perfectly fitting the theme. You've done well, my friend. Congratulations.

the cloth is great, and i think the clouds rolling over the earth sets a dream-like tone as much as the surreality of the scene. looking at it, i want to see the fish more clearly, which i think also supports the feeling of reality blurred, even though the distortion is realistic. i find the apparent role reversal of the fishing line most interesting. it seems an underwater fisherman has used it to safely send the fish out of the body of water, rather than one on land taking it unsafely out of water. the one thing that doesn't quite mesh to my eyes is level of realism in materials and light. the clouds, rift and bag of water look very realistically lit, the woman, her dress and hair have another mid-level of realism in their materials and shading, and the cloth and ground have a 3rd level. i don't mean the patterns, but how those items seemly to receive light. for me, it could be stronger if these elements were a little more similarly realistic or CG. but i also find that sort of dissonance has its own aesthetic effect, so i'm not sure it would be good to change. this is a strong addition to the series, and i think it would be very interesting if you chose to do a painted version of it. as always, i thoroughly enjoy your work, and i'm glad you've shared it with us.

Well, I guess in terms of realization this is one of your best ever. I agree with Rutra concerning the floor texture; it brings a bidimensional effect to the image (on purpose?, though, yes, it´s a minor detail compared with the whole rest of the image. Surrealism at its best!

Wonderful!
