Terrific clarity and textures in this macro! The branch perch projects a lot of character. And, the little birdie looks all the world like the local sparrows that inhabit my neck of the woods, Maria.

How is it that some people have incredible luck with some things and others just have other people's stories about incredible luck? This morning, I got up and went outside to ge tthe newspaper and across the street, in the neighbor's driveway, were at least 30 of these tiny birds hopping around eating something or other stuck in the cracks of the concrete. Not a bad story until I add that they were too far away to take a picture of and the house finch feeder I recently hung in the back yard is and has been empty and desserted since I bought it a month ago. I love this shot and I tip my hat to you for your skill, talent and incredible luck.

Such a lovely capture of this colourful finch. I love the composition with the branch angling the way it does to the top corner and the blurred background really makes the main focal point (the birdie!!), pop out - excellent capture and a must see at full size too. Hugs xx
