Description
I had occasion to go down into Manchester City Center on Friday morning, I was taking a family member to a court hearing. This is the side of that court building. It is a strange(to me) building, it consists of all this glass that you see, then another wall of glass, then the side of the building itself. In this image, you can see the window cleaners at work, the two on the right of the image, are cleaning the windows, the one to the left along with one out of shot are moving the walk boards along for the men cleaning the windows on the next tier. First they cleaned the windows facing out then turned round and cleaned the ones behind. I was kept quite amused with their antics whilst waiting. This buidling is at least 14 stories high so you can imagine these lads were very busy, and there for quite a while.
I'm still not up to much walking and did not leave the comfort of my car, it was quite windy and with the chill factor was very cold. I took quite a few shots, about 120, some of which I will post in the coming days.
Thanks for stopping by for a look see, and for any comments you care to make, CC is most welcome, good or bad.
May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are.
Please zoom in.

I want to pick this up and roll a silver ball bearing round it lol. The way the glass walls are built with another inner glass wall is just one enormous amount of double-glazing! must take some cleaning! I'd rather see the glass than all those concrete constructions built in 60's & 70's Manchester has changed so much and incredibly quickly in the last few years, when my brother comes down to see me he doesn't recognise it! Great capture Jeff, you always make everyday stuff interesting!

very strange indeed but you know governments, no matter the country they splurge taxpayers money on crappy designs, inferior workmanship, and out and out kick backs. a new multi million dollar "state of the art" animal shelter in Dallas that just opened has floors in the holding areas that are lower than the floor drains.now the liquids stands in puddles and the care takers have to use squeegees to force the water to the drains.right after it opened also the employees are in trouble for dragging dogs to the euthanasia room
