Description

As I am cleaning my files I keep finding images I meant to upload. This was one of my senior portrait models from the fall. Even though she has beautiful red hair I preferred this image in Black & White. Here is a shot of ~Jennifer~ in an earlier upload. Thanks for the view and have a great weekend! I've wanted to visit your portraits more, and I chose this at random, just to 'dive in'---and it's just gorgeous. I assume portraiture is an art all to itself, and I don't know how photographers do so many arts at once; but what's so portrait-like about this is that you captured a human as a radiant burst, both luminous and very gentle. She fits into the world around her, but also stands out from it; and you've caught highlights on her hand as if to emphasize the 'connecting point' between the two; and the tree is in just enough focus to be whole itself, while backing her as well. But above all---and this, I assume, is what portraiture is all about---you captured an utterly whole human being, radiant & unassuming & wholly present. Simple & beautiful. My bows.
