BIOI am an IT specialist by profession, but my hobby (besides computers) has always been photography. I have been interested in this since early childhood, starting off with instant cameras and graduating to SLR's and recently a SLR lookalike. My first SLR was a Minolta X300 and then a Minolta Dynax 404i. My first digital was a Fuji S5000 DSLR-like camera, but nowdays I use a Canon EOS 350D with an 18-55 and 75-300 with a Speedlite 420EX (which is very handy for doing weddings). I don't profess to be any good at photography and have no experience with studio work. I do however like outdoors and scenery and have been asked to do a couple of weddings before, which came out well. The best people pictures I take are those where the person does not pose and are caught almost unawares.
I love the outdoors and camping and go fairly regularly and take my mountain bike with. My friends and I go mostly to nature reserves.

fabulous closeup of this amazing bird! interesting lightning and b/w, makes it very alive! but maybe it would need to be a bit darken? what do you think? ;o)

It could have been darker but I didn't fiddle with it, this is how it came off the camera.
