Description

I was at my sister-in-law's place over the holidays, and couldn't resist taking a few photographs. (She looks at my work every day, and will probably be surprised to see this! * waves * Hi Cindy! While you were busy with the cookies, I was wandering around taking pictures again!) :) .......... I posted a black and white version in the January Forum Challenge. You can see it here if you're interested. For those of you who are unclear, there is a difference between a contest and a challenge. There are no prizes or accolades connected with a challenge, unless somebody happens to say something nice about your image. It's just a topic for exploration, more like "this is a cool thing - try it and see if you can make it work!" Challenge topics are a fun way to increase your skill and try something new. There's no pressure in a challenge. So this image (in the black and white version) won't be up for a vote. It won't "do well" or be better or worse than anything else in the challenge. It's all just for fun. If you were feeling intimidated by the idea of a challenge, don't be. It's not a contest, and you might learn something new and improve your work! :) .......... This message has been brought to you as a public service announcement. No photographers were harmed in the making of this image. Batteries not included.

LOL, we sure don't want any photographers hurt!!! This is really good, the b&w is perfect, makes it look richer, more elegant, even a bit mysterious!! I like it a LOT!!

I really like the color version. I don't know that I'll ever be a big B&W fan.

Nice photo of greatly shaped tea pots, but I'm not a big fun of strong shadow on the wall.

Nice warmth captured in the metal. I always enjoy putting something up for the challenge each month but sometimes I feel small - especially when I only have 2 or 3 shots that I am proud of and post, and another artist has posted 28 - even if we are asked to hold it down to 2 or 3... :-)
