Description

good morning all :o) first off i must apologise if i did`nt get round to everyone ,i was babysitting at my sons all night and could`nt get a connection so my grandson was`nt happy either as he could`nt play his games online . next shot is the river swale falls a little closer, not much i can add to that :o)..so instead i will tell you that i got a bargain yesterday afternoon .my friend in the camera buissness phoned me to tell me that a new camera was out the d60 (which i already knew) and that he could get me a great deal on the d40x .well the deal ended up like this ,he took my d40 in part ex and i got £40 cashback from nikon so i ended up with a brand new d40x body for £130 :o)..so as an incentive i used my going away in the caravan money instead of my own and paying it back with the money i`m saving not smoking .will be paid back in 6 weeks well in time before we first go away :o) have a great day my friends and i hope your weather is better than ours .driving rain and gales with worse to come :o( mick

Wow, that brown part is really interesting, why does it look like that? A new camera, I just got one as well!! Not quite with all the bells and whistles as yours, but I'm sure excited!! Another great shot, Mick, and tons of congrats on all the money you're saving!!

sounds like your weather is rather bad there Mick, I'm just glad we havent had any more cyclones yet....now they are scary! this is a great shot of the falls, funny how places in the world miles apart have the same landscapes/scenery, yours is just colder than mine!

Superb shot! Is the brown part caused by iron or peat? Brilliant news about a good use for all that dosh you're saving! I bought a new swimsuit and trainers in the first 2 weeks, didn't half prove an incentive.

For those of you yet to view, the answer to beachzz question is iron, that particular rock must be full of iron. I have a similar shot from force falls Mick, a place I would love to revisit but the walk from the carpark is just too far for me. Glad to hear you news re the camera, I told you the pennies from not smoking soon mount up. and kudos for keeping it up mate. It's twenty years since I last lit up, but there is still the odd time I fancy a cigar. Great capture, but what is that person doing top right? My weather is much the same as your at the momment, rain and gales with snow forcast. Bravo!!!!!

What a great shot... the rains have really created a torrent of water there... great catch. Someone once told me to positively absolutely put the money you spent each day on smoking into a jar/whatever without fail and leave it there for a good while, and you won't believe how much you will accumulate in six months or a year. Congrats on the new cam!

i find the rusty water shown in sheets next to the bubbly white froth to be a delight. Great capture! I had to do the conversion math on the camera to come up with US but when I did, I was so happy for you. What a deal! I bet you can't wait to put it through its paces!
