Quillip blinked in shock at Jeet's leap up to the air-vent from the floor of the museum. She stammered out,"H-how did you DO that?" He handed her the glowing Challenger gem he held in his hand. She swore quietly. It was burning hot to the touch. It cooled quickly and had the appearance of glowing points in an oily fluid. Quillip muttered,"I never heard of of them glowing before. They're just diamond hard OPALS for god's sake!" Jeet looked over his shoulder at her and said tersely, "Do NOT waste your time staring at it! Put it with the other one and take two of them to Queen Glorianna. I have to run an errand for the third one." She looked up and was shocked. "What?" He shrugged. "The stones told me. You are working for Queen Glorianna of Union. The stones want me to go fix something 'broken' in the city. I'm curious as all hell to see what a STONE wants!" Quillip asked,"The STONES told you? Can you read minds,too?" The stone in her hand had stopped glowing and no longer had the illusion of life in her hand as she packed it away. She glared at Jeet for a moment and sighed. "Be careful. They are alien artifacts. No one knows their purpose, other than cursing those who try to damage them." He smiled and remarked happily,"The reverse is true! If you put your life on the line to protect them, they HELP you! Sort of 'One hand washing another' kind of thing! You need to be careful! There is one hiding alien left on the city. The stones can't tell me much about him." Quillip said, "Take care, you fuzzy-butt squirrel-faced nit-wit! I still owe you a wild night of passion! Ambassador suite, at the Royal Guest-house! Remember! " Jeet winked at her and gave her a smile. He ran with quiet speed to a hatch in the maintenance tunnel and disappeared into the darkness.
