Description

Took a drive into the Columbia River Gorge today, and was surprised to encounter snow instead of rain. It was a bit messy, but I got a few good shots. Here is Wahkeena Falls, which I've posted a wider shot of before. Wahkeena is one of the prettier falls in the gorge, with a total drop of about 242 feet (73m) in several smaller stages. Thanks for stopping by and any comments. I'm glad folks had fun with the kite eating tree.

What a nice falls. I love just about anything that has water or mountains. Good shutter speed. Have a great Sunday. Aloha

I would like to be there with you, great water fall. The touch of snow makes the texture of the land even more interesting. I wander if you tried different times like 1/10 or 1/20 of the second. On this photo the water seems to me a bit to puffy. This does not change anything, I like this photo.

Looks like a very strong flow with a hint of mist in the air Dennis. I like the way you captured it. The snow gives a little extra detail to the foreground, Sig...

Beautiful falls I really like the softness of the water in contrast with the rough texture of the rocks, well done!!!

I feel like I should yell so you can hear me over the sound of the falls! This is wonderful, my friend. The snow adds an unexpected dimension that I really like. Thanks for braving the weather and going out this weekend!

I like the greens in the other picture but I like the up close and personal view we get with this one. I agree with the others who have commented that the snow is an added touch of beauty.
