Hi my name is Bill(started here as Primaltruck). I am an old hippy from the santa cruz mountains.I live with my wife and kids Alice and Chris..we also have 2 other kids Jason and leah, that are married and live elswhere..we live in the redwood forest with a spring and waterfall on our property and about 700 2nd growth redwoods..My artwork is definetly inspired by were i live and my family. My daughter(Alice) being a Tatoo artist and wife being my worst critic.she knows me and knows how to tell me when something doesnt look right without getting under my skin..Alice likes all art so she always says good things that help inspire me and i try to do the same for her..if you look at my rendorosity gallery you will see that i had a pretty rough start and took a year or so to get the hang of 3D art as i have always scetched and painted and created..But learning how to deal with something new is always an adventure..and its been a lot of fun and i have made alot of friends along the way.I mostly use Bryce and Poser and Photoshop on a Dell PC..and plan on getting Vue in the near future..and...I couldnt talk about art with out mentioning Dudley Wade(Prog)Who was one of my first friends here and a heck of a great teacher and i think i learned more from his advise and studying his art than anything else....I dont think i have a style, except that my style is in doing something different when i can think of it!and the longer i post art in these galleries the more i realize that its not really about the art but about the friendships made....getting better with our art is just icing on the cake..I have also been a musician all my life and have played guitar for 30 some odd years..Loving everything from Mel Torme to Jimi Hendrix to all the great new music i hear..some Favorites..Frank Zappa,Stevie Ray Vaughn,Beatles,Pink Floyd,Yes,Scott Henderson,Steve Vai,Joe Satriani,Steve Morse,Nuno Bentencourt,Paul Gilbert,Vinnie Moore,Frank Gambale,Al Dimeola,Les Paul,Chet Atkins,Speedy wes,Jimmy Brynt,Barney Kestle,Charlie Byrd, and many more..i have been posting at renderosity mostly and at Dreamslayerart,Tapestry of dreams,Innertraveler, artzone, renderotica and 3DCommune..not all at the same time...lol...I am very easy to get along with and treasure the friendships made here..I am not afraid to speak up for what i believe in ,am strictly non violent, love nature, and always looking for fun and a reason to celebrate life...so dont be afraid to say hello or ask for help..I dont bite that hard...Love and Peace and Respect.

This is brilliant Bill!! I love those elephants! I have an elephant collection (over 300) from large to small from all over the place, some handcarved and some sculpted and some out stone and some out glass. Love em! As for the comments on the Good Friends image, well I don't know what to say other than I don't just hand out compliments for my freakin health. Your art has always been such a pleasure to view, always for me. So, there must be something to that saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I enjoy your work!

Wow that was pretty dickish sounding to call us all spineless if you ask me. The image was not the best you have done but still looked nice. But then you do some very creative and cool works.A style all your own. Oh well I guess everyone has thier own opinion .Sorry just slid out my chair. I forgot to strap myself in LOL. This is pretty cool Bill. I like the elephants to

Being so far behind with my ebots after this horrible flu of mine, I had to go back and have a look at Good Friends first. Well, I like it. I might not be the brightest bulb in the artistic christmas tree but I like it. Point. And I like the elefants!
STEVIEUKWONDER
These spineless plicks, might whistle a different tune, if we were face to face with them Bill. Just as well, I don't live in USA, I'd have "popped" a few by now! You'll ALWAYS be a star in my book Sir! You have the PASSION and that is what they can't get their head around! Steve :o)

Well, I love the image! Excellent elephants =) And, I told you the truth about your last image. I liked it, and I stand by that. I'm not a liar nor am I spinelss. If I didn't like something I'd say so, lol. But, everyone has a right to their oppinions =) And in my oppinion, this image, as your last, rocks! Besides, you must consider the source my friend. Don't get down on it. You're one of the most origional and inovative artists here. You can do simple beautiful images to thought provoking and delightful. For people who always render the same thing over & over, well... you're not one of them. I never know what I'm going to get when I click on one of your ebots, and I like it that way! Keep doing what YOU do, regardless of what anyone else (even me) says.

I Enjoyed both images... For us that are here to learn or doing this for fun or relaxation may not have the "artistic" eye that some of your friends have... But spineless is a little presumptive... Just cause they got up on the wrong side of the bed or hold themselve to a Higher standard doesn't mean we've all reached it... Besides there are ways to tell someone where thier art can use improvement. And that was definitly not the way. Constructive criticism yes, the way it was done.. no....

Firstly, I have heard it said that we as poster on this site tend not to critique art in a negative manner... That we do not push each other to do their best, trying to be PC or in fear of hurting peoples feelings. Next i think you are one of the most vreative ane exspressive artist on this site, and its a joy to get an e-bot telling me its you. I think also because of that people tend to think that each piece you do is supposed to be intense and 'Blow them away'.. But i think some forget that the simple, serene, and quietly beautiful plays just as much a part in an artist portfolio as mind blowing artwork also. Dont take it personal, the manner in wich it was said was crude to say the least. Almost as if they were bragging because they were being critical. Look at remark again, see if there was/is anything you feel that you can use, and disgard the rest. Dont stop accepting comments, and keep moving forward.

very cool Bill... :)

Great piece Bill - glad to have you back. We all missed you. I wouldn't worry about that retarded commenter - everyone has problems. Given that 99.9999% of all the comments you receive are overwhelmingly positive, the retard was most definitely an outlier from a statistical standpoint. Keep em' coming.

Hmm....Bill. You are one of the most creative artists i know. And i can tell you for sure, when i say this image is great, than i like it. Do not care about others. And how Ruby said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

COOOOOOL Wonderful work

This is fantastic and creative, very surreal. As far as the person writing the comments he/she wrote...Well consider the writer and what the motivation was. Was it truly constructive criticism or was it out of jealousy. Maybe the image you put up struck something in them. The only person you have to please is yourself. We all take a chance of getting knocked down when put our work up. Take it with a pinch of salt. :o)

cool image..

all of your beautiful art work is magificent and wonderful!!!! If the idot that said that is just full of bull. Maybe all people don't like all the work that some artists do but others do. I think all of your art is wonderful and beautiful. Just remember that there are dummies out there and where it comes from and take it with a ton of salt.

WOW..I think this is awesome. Wonderful work Bill!!

Great modeling work and super imagery here, Bill. Don't let anyone else tell you how to interpret your art. You are the creator of it. And it's very well done.
Faery_Light
Bill, I like the elephants and you POV on them. You think of more ways to show a scene than I can think of...nothing wrong with that. As to you last image, being as the viewer has no idea of your intentions with the image, how can they call it "crap"? But to insult everyone just because they said they like it just astounds me. As you know, if something strikes me as odd, I'll ask about it as I don't know your intention or might not be familar with your program. Ignore it and keep on posting...I'd miss you if you quit.

Fantasic and very beautiful realization!!!!!

First of all, I liked both images! Don't get upset over one nasty comment. First comment I ever recieved was a wonderfully helpful comment that really taught me alot about art - the poster said, and I quote "this sucks". No reason why, no helpful comments on how to improve it or even why he/she thought my image sucked. If it hadn't been for all the folks who followed after this - person - and actually offered CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions, I might not have stuck it out and gave up Bryce altogether. I don't like every image I see on here - so I just don't comment or rate those I don't like, especially if I don't know WHY I don't like it. And I praise like the dickens the images I do like! And if I post an image I really need some advice on, I post it on WIP, or state I am seeking advice in the notes. Sorry for the rant - this struck a nerve I didn't realize was still raw.

IMHO, a direct insult; but then again, maybe directly do to lack of respect for others? I like Elephants too! ;)

BILL: HELLO. From one of your 'spineless' friends, I LIKED this ALOT. WINK. I'll clean up and oft used saying o' mine: "OPINIONS are like rectums - YOUR works and SO does MINE -- Do we REALLY want to get into a 'beauty' contest about them?" PEACE to you and yours, TallPockets.

Ok this happened to me once. All I can say is when someone does this go look at their gallery. In your case I looked for you and all I can say is enough said lol! Some people have no room to talk Bill. When it happened to me I did the same. Boy did I feel so much better. I post for fun in the fantasy section. Fantasy can mean anything even if perspective goes out the window in my case. No one can comment what goes on in fantasy land for all we know there might not be any perspective lol! I know yours is not fantasy but do what I did you'll feel better I promise :) Cathy xoxoxo
