Description

I'd like to dedicate this one to Piet, a very special friend here, who has given me such support in my work. He's always encouraging me to dream big, and gives me such inspiration and confidence - I know it hasn't always been easy lol I know how you hate dedications Piet, but I couldn't help myself this time. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. I love you dearly. After seeing literally hundreds, if not thousands, of Swans at the Mississippi River yesterday, I am wondering if I should get a wide angle lens; just so that I could capture in one shot, what I saw there. It would take your breath away. So, for now, the best I can do is show you bits and parts and pieces of the place .. Please see the YouTube Piet put together, to my surprise! Be sure and check out his other video's as well. He's adding more all the time. His photography is one that deserves recognition - Hope you enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkd19jK6Tf4 I hope you have a wonderful day. Shari

How famous are you?lol. Fantastic shot here and a great dedication to Piet,he deserves it. Fantastic video he has done for you, two in just over a week not bad going that. I wish you did have a wide angle to show us all the swans, as it stands I don't think I have seen that many in my life never mind in one location. Swans, Canadian Geese, Ducks and I don't know what else, it's a veritable bird paradise, by the look of it. Excellent capture, I wonder if the cygnet on the right belongs to this pair? also the other one just poking its head into the shot. Wonderful stuff. Bravo!!!!! Congratulations on the second video as well.

A lovely shot Shari! Wide angle lenses can be an asset, especially if you like taking landscape shots, but if you're not going to use it fairly regularly it could prove to be a waste of money. If you do decide to get one then strongly consider buying second hand as brand new camera equipment can be very expensive. There are some very good second hand lenses out there that are in mint condition!

Oh Shari, I am speechless and don't deserve it. It was a huge pleasure, as huge as your photography has inspired us. The swans are beautifully captured. Places and birds I may never see for real in my life. Thank you for the dedication.
