Well you know I liked this one Carl - the leaf appears to be popping out of the screen and the wing looks almost 3D! Wonderfully composed with great DOF and the colours are brilliant. At least you had more success than I did playing with my new cam!! Hugs babe. xox

I love this! You seem to have 'mistified' the background, and have thus sharpened everything important. It's gorgeous.

Crisp image Carl - very nice detail on the wing - maybe a tad of burning would "equalise" the tones between wing/body and head area - as it is i am drawn away from the head by the brighter area. But that is minor and doesnt detract from the fact that this is really nicely composed with the leaf and has incredible detail and spot on focus :)

Fantastic macro Carl, I see you took my lesson on board of how to take macro's. lol. This really is the bees knees, top notch stuff, I love the eye on this little critter, I must admit I have never see one polygon shaped before, the curled probuscus(is that right?) is so sharp as well. I think I should pay a visit to one of these butterfly houses, I have been meaning to go to the one at lancaster for about thirty years, I'm a bit slow about getting round to things Carl. Excellent capture and presentation. Superb!!!!! 5++++
