Description

Here's one from last Saturday's snow trip that's close enough for you to actually see the falls through the snow LOL. BTW, this wasn't as cold as it apparently looks, based on comments from the previous shots. The temperature was 32F/0C, but the roads weren't icy, so it was barely cold enough to be snowing. About 15 minutes' drive to the west, it was all rain. Not that I want to minimize the sacrifices I make to bring all my friends good photos, of course. :-) Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Beautiful! I've always loved that bridge. Not so much snow this close to the falls - I feel better already! Still - I bet the mist is a bit chilly. Thank you for braving the elements, no matter how mild they may occasionally be, to bring us these gorgeous photographs. This might not have been such a big deal, but I balance it out against the fact that you climbed mountains for us this summer, and you still make big points in my book! :) You rock!

This is one fantastic shot! Reading the comments of others makes me realize that maybe I take Multnomah Falls too much for granted. I've seen it my entire lifetime and it kind of becomes "just another falls" but the comments make me realize that I shouldn't take such beauty for granted. I do realize, though, that Oregon is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

One of my favorite areas in the majestic Columbia Gorge and you have made me see it with new eyes! This picture has an unusual POV and overall misty quality mixed with areas of high-contrast in the foreground that remind me of a high quality Japanese woodcut!
